For generations, Cadillac has been putting out more than its fair-share of striking, one-of-a-kind vehicles that enthrall the American automotive imagination, but this recently-resurfaced historic 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is in a classic-car league of its own.
The Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz was a personal luxury coupe that spanned a far-reaching 226 inches from grille to bumper, a size you don’t see on any two-doors nowadays. A gorgeous, impeccably-kept version of the 1978 Eldorado Biarritz, with only 790 miles on it, just went up to the podium at the 2019 Palm Beach Barrett-Jackson auction in April.
Only one family has owned this historic 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz since it rolled out of the factory 41 years ago and features nearly every single one of the model year’s luxurious “options” offered by Cadillac. These include a white “Astro Roof;” a reclining, six-way power passenger seat, an illuminated vanity mirror, a pillow-top interior, power trunk lid release, power door locks, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, a digital clock, and a radio with an eight-track tape player.
We’re not sure how the new owners of this glorious ‘78 Eldorado plan to use their new beauty, but we hope they continue to show it the same tender love and care as its previous owners. If you’re looking for your own Cadillac to cherish, contact us at Tom Kelley Cadillac.
