Few vehicles overwhelm the senses in the way that the Cadillac CT5 does. The new Cadillac CT5 design is so unique, in fact, that the brand recently revealed the latest model using “Sensory Symphony” social media videos. Cadillac brand borrowed ASMR techniques popular on YouTube to create an unusually stimulating ad for its latest CT5.
ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a style of media designed to give you that “spine-tingling” feeling as you watch and listen. According to Cadillac, the Sensory Symphony Cadillac ads used unique sounds, like the rev of the CT5 Twin Turbo engine, the audio from the premium Bose® speakers, and the sound of a camouflage wrap being peeled away. In other words, this is an entirely new type of ad.
“The Cadillac CT5 is meant to overwhelm all of the senses, and that’s why we’re using ASMR-style videos to showcase its features,” said Deborah Wahl, Cadillac chief marketing officer. “The ‘Sensory Symphony’ videos are designed to convey for viewers the same satisfying feeling that arises from driving this car.”
The Cadillac company plans to give a new ad for every week leading up to the New York Auto Show, which is when the CT5 will make its debut on April 16. We can’t wait to see this innovative model hit the market, and these new ads are the perfect way to get attention.
